Indian Railway is going to change the timing of the second reservation chart. From October 10, the second reservation chart of the railway will be made 30 minutes before the train leaves.

But again, changing the rules again, now again the second reservation chart will be made 30 minutes before the time of leaving the train.

Ticket booking facility will be available online and at PRS ticket counters before preparation of the second chart. The Rail Information System Center (CRIS-CRIS) will make necessary amendments in the software to restore the chart making technique 30 minutes before the train leaves.

The first reservation chart of the train is prepared 4 hours before the train leaves. After changing the time of the second chart, now there will be more option to book tickets in front of passengers. Travelers can book tickets on the Internet on first-come-first-served basis until the second chart is prepared.

The second reservation chart will be prepared 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time. There will also be a provision to cancel pre-booked tickets in this time table.
