LPG Price Update: Welcome New Year with inflation, LPG prices rise, know what is the latest rate



LPG Price Update: The new year has started with inflation. IOCL reviews the prices of LPG gas cylinders every month and announces new rates. The IOC has not made any changes in the prices of non-subsidized 14.2 kg cylinders, which are used in kitchens. But the price of 19 kg cylinder has been increased.

The 14.2-kg non-subsidized LPG cylinder in Delhi is only Rs 694 on the IOC website. It costs Rs 720.50 in Kolkata, Rs 694 in Mumbai and Rs 710 in Chennai. Earlier in December, the IOC had increased the prices of LPG twice, raising the prices by Rs 100. On December 3, there was an increase of 50 rupees. After this, on December 15, the price was increased by Rs 50. In December, this increase has been made on 14.2 kg domestic and 19 kg commercial cylinders without subsidies.

Even though the price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder did not increase, the prices of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders have been increased. According to the IOC website, the new rate of 19 kg LPG cylinders in Delhi has gone up to Rs 1349, which was earlier Rs 1332. Meaning, now in Delhi, you will have to pay Rs 17 more for this cylinder. In other metro cities, its price in Kolkata has increased by Rs 22.50 to Rs 1410 from 1387.50. In Mumbai, it has become costlier by Rs 17, from 1280.50 to Rs 1297.50. In Chennai, its price has increased by Rs 16.50 and it has increased from Rs 1446.50 to Rs 1463.50.

You should know that the government subsidizes 12 cylinders of 14.2 kg a year. You have to buy more cylinders at the market price. Oil companies fix the prices of gas cylinders every month.
