With the beginning of the month of August, the month of festivals also started. So this time in August there are many bank holidays.

The festival season starts in the country from August. The bank remains closed on the occasion of festival but this time in the month of August there are many extra holidays due to various reasons. Therefore, if the bank has more work, then it is better to settle it in time. By the way, nowadays most people in big cities use internet banking more. But there is still a lot of such class which is still far away from net banking. It is important for them that they are aware of the additional holidays falling in the bank. According to the list of holidays released by the RBI, banks will remain closed for eight days in different zones in the month of August, except Sundays and second-fourth Saturdays of every month. 

Weekly Holiday
on 1st August The first bank holiday in   August has started from 1st. Because one of the dates is Sunday. Four Sundays and two Saturdays have the same holiday in the bank. Apart from this, there will be at least 8 additional holidays in different parts of the country. On August 13, 2021, there will be a holiday in the banks of Imphal Zone due to the martyrdom day. On August 14, 2021, due to the second Saturday, there will be a bank holiday. Independence Day will be holiday on 15th August. Although this day is also a Sunday. That is, there will be a holiday for four consecutive days in the Imphal Zone. On August 16, 2021, due to the Parsi New Year, there will be a bank holiday in Belapur, Mumbai and Nagpur zones of Maharashtra. 

From 19 to 23 long vacation
Agartala zone due to Muharram on August 19, 2021 Ahmedabad Zone, Belapur zone, Bhopal Zone, Hyderabad Zone, Jaipur Zone, J-Zone, Kanpur Zone, West Zone, Lucknow Zone, Mumbai Zone, Nagpur Zone, Banks will remain closed in New Delhi Zone, Patna Zone, Raipur Zone, Ranchi Zone and Srinagar Zone. Due to Muharram and first Onam on August 20, 2021, there will be a bank holiday in Bangalore Zone, Chennai Zone, Kochi Zone, and Kerala. On August 21, 2021, due to Thiruvonam being on this day, there will be a bank holiday in Kochi zone and Kerala. August 22, 2021 being a Sunday will be a weekly holiday for banks. On August 23, 2021, being Sree Narayana Guru Jayanti, there will be a bank holiday in Kochi Zone and Kerala.

In the North, 28 to 30 consecutive days off 
on August 28, being the fourth Saturday, will be a bank holiday. August 29 being a Sunday, banks will have a weekly holiday. After this, Janmashtami is on August 30, due to which there will be a holiday in most of the banks of North India. Apart from this, Janmashtami will be a holiday in Ahmedabad Zone, Chennai Zone and Gangtok Zone. That is, there will be a continuous holiday of three days.

The complete list of holidays in banks is as follows

Banks will be closed on August 1 as it is a Sunday.
On August 8, this day is also a Sunday, so there will be a holiday in the bank.
Banks in Imphal Zone will remain closed due to Martyrdom Day on 13th August.
Banks will remain closed on August 14 due to second Saturday.
Sunday August 15th and will be closed on account of Independence Day.
Banks will remain closed in Belapur, Mumbai and Nagpur zones of Maharashtra due to Parsi New Year on August 16.
Banks will remain closed due to Muharram on 19th August.
Due to Muharram and first Onam on August 20, there will be a holiday in Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi and Kerala zones. 
On August 21, there will be a holiday in Kochi and Kerala zone due to Thiruvonam.
There will be a bank holiday on August 22 due to Raksha Bandhan and Sunday.
Banks will remain closed in Kochi and Kerala zones on August 23 due to Sree Narayana Guru Jayanti.
Banks will remain closed due to August 28 being the fourth Saturday.
Banks will remain closed on August 29 as it is a Sunday.
Banks will be there due to Janmashtami being on August 30. 
On August 31: Banks will remain closed in Hyderabad on this day due to Shri Krishna Ashtami.
