PAN 2.0: How to apply online to print PAN card with QR code, know the step-by-step process here

 

Under PAN 2.0, you can easily get a new PAN card with QR code. You can apply for this from home.

PAN 2.0 scheme has been started by the government. Under this scheme, you can replace your old PAN with a new PAN with QR code. PAN card with QR code is more secure. According to PAN 2.0, Indian PAN card holders can apply for reprint of their PAN card by paying a fee of Rs 50. PAN card with QR code will be sent to the registered email and address of the taxpayer. If you want, you can also correct or update your information in this PAN card.

Rights given to two agencies

The government has authorized two agencies to issue new PAN. These agencies are Proteus (formerly known as NSDL e-Governance) and UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Limited (UTIITSL). To know which agency to contact for PAN card reprint with QR code, look at the back of your PAN.

How to apply for reprint of PAN card with QR code on Protean (formerly known as NSDL)

Step-1: First open ttps://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/ReprintEPan.html.

Step-2: After this, enter your required information, such as PAN, Aadhaar (for individuals only) and date of birth. Select the required tick box and click on ‘Submit’.

Step-3: Then a new webpage will open on your screen, where you have to check the current details updated with the Income Tax Department. After this, you will get the option of One-Time Password (OTP). You can receive OTP on mobile number, email ID and both. Select the tick box for the PAN card to be sent to the communication address available in the records of the Income Tax Department. Then click on ‘Generate OTP’.

Step-4: OTP will be sent to you on the option you select, mobile or email. The OTP will be valid only for 10 minutes. Enter the OTP and click on Validate.

Step-5: Once the OTP is entered, the payment option will come. For PAN card reprint with QR code, you will have to pay Rs 50. Then select the tick box on ‘I agree to the terms of service’ and click on submit.

Step-6: A new webpage will open, where you have to pay Rs 50. After the payment is done, an acknowledgement receipt will be received. After this, you will be able to download e-PAN from the NSDL website after 24 hours. The physical PAN card will be sent to your address within 15-20 days.

Steps to reprint PAN card with UTIITSL

Taxpayers whose PAN has been issued by UTIITSL will have to visit https://www.pan.utiitsl.com/reprint.html. Select the option of ‘Reprint PAN Card’. A new webpage will open on your screen. Enter all the necessary information – PAN, date of birth and captcha code and click on submit. After this, all the steps have to be followed like NSDL.
