New Delhi: There is  relief news about the new variant of Coronavirus, Omicron. Experts are saying that Omicron is less dangerous than Delta. No need to panic with Omicron. Doctors told that none of the cases of Omicron found so far were seriously ill. Although Omicron spreads rapidly, it is believed by most experts.

SYMPTOMS OF OMICRON ARE MILD - EXPERT

Dr Sayan Chakraborty, a specialist in infectious diseases and who has treated Omicron victims, said that what I have seen so far has shown that Omicron is less dangerous than the delta variant. We have seen more serious cases during the second wave. In the case of Omicron, this is likely to be less. Not only me, many foreign reports are also saying the same. The symptoms of Omicron are mild. There is only mild fever and cough.

OMICRON IS LESS DANGEROUS THAN DELTA - EXPERT

Dr Saswati Sinha, a critical care expert and who has treated many patients infected with Omicron, said that till now I have treated 4 patients of Omicron. None of them was seriously ill. He had mild symptoms. Foreign reports are saying the same thing. The symptoms of Omicron are mild, although the spread is rapid. We have seen the deadly second wave. After seeing a few Omicron cases, I think things will not get worse.

MIXED IMMUNITY WILL BE DEVELOPED FROM OMICRON - EXPERT

On the other hand, Kovid expert Dr Jogiraj Roy said that Omicron is a mild disease. Most of the cases are coming out of the Delta variant only. People who are infected with the delta variant require oxygen. I don't think Omicron will need much oxygen. If most people get infected with Omicron, we will get immunity. Mixed immunity will develop in those who have taken the vaccine. What could be better than this?

Let us inform that 1,525 people infected with Omicron variants have been identified in the country. Maharashtra and Delhi have been affected the most by this variant so far. According to the Union Health Ministry, 560 people infected with the Omicron variant have been discharged from the hospital.
