The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain, thunderstorm and lightning in 15 states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir for July 3.
