CA Final Exams: ICAI’s big announcement..! Now CA final exam will be held thrice a year, know the details
CA Final Exams: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) made a big announcement on Thursday and said that from 2025, the final examinations of CA i.e. Chartered Accountants will be conducted thrice a year instead of two. According to a statement, the final examinations will be conducted in January, May and September.
CA Final Exams: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced to conduct Chartered Accountants (CA) final examinations three times a year. Currently, this exam is conducted twice a year. ICAI said in a release issued on Thursday that this historic decision is in line with global best practices. This will give more opportunities to the students. Last year, ICAI had decided to conduct the Foundation and Intermediate syllabus examinations three times a year. Now CA final examinations will also follow the same schedule.
According to the release, now the final examination will also be conducted three times per year. The final examinations will be held in January, May and September. ICAI has more than 10 lakh students and about four lakh members.
The official notice said, “In order to keep pace with global best practices and to provide more opportunities to students, the 26th Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has taken a historic decision to conduct the CA Final examination thrice a year. The exam was being conducted twice a year. Last year, ICAI had decided to conduct the Intermediate and Foundation Course exams thrice a year and now the CA Final exams will also be conducted in the same fashion.”
The Post Qualification Course in Information Systems Audit Exam will also see changes. The assessment test for this course, which was earlier held twice a year in June and December, will now be held thrice a year – in February, June and October. ICAI said that this decision has been taken to increase access and convenience for the members.
Speaking about the decision of ICAI, CA Charanjot Singh Nanda, President of the Institute, said, “These decisions will greatly benefit both students and members, giving them better opportunities for success.
