Stocks to watch, May 30, 2023: Domestic equities are likely to see a flat-to-positive start on May 30, Tuesday as indicated by SGX Nifty. At 08:12 AM, the Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) were trading 13.5 points, or 0.07 per cent higher at 18,703.5 levels. Besides, Asian stocks were mostly higher in the morning trade as investors cheered the prospect that the US, the world’s largest economy, will avert a major debt default, improving sentiment across most asset classes.

Oil India: As per reports, a fire broke out at the Numaligarh Refinery Limited’sHydrocracker Unit (HCU) in vessel Number VV-04 on Monday. The vessel is a cold high-pressure separator. The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes of the breakout. However, as per firefighting protocol, cooling through water spraying is still being carried out. Numaligarh Refinery is a subsidiary of Oil India.

IRCTC: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) board recommended a dividend of Rs 2 per equity share of Rs 2 each to the shareholders for the financial year 2022-23 on Monday. Besides, the company reported a 30 per cent YoY growth in standalone net profit to Rs 279 crore for the fourth quarter ended March. The company had registered a net profit of Rs 214 crore in the year-ago period.
Torrent Power on Monday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 483.93 crore in the March 2023 quarter, mainly on the back of higher revenues. The company had reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 487.37 crore in the quarter ended March 2022, a BSE filing showed. Its total income rose to 6,133.70 crore in the quarter from Rs 3,840.59 crore in the year-ago period. The consolidated net profit in the fiscal 2022-23 rose to Rs 2,164.67 crore from Rs 458.70 crore in the previous fiscal.

NBCC: The state-owned company has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 108 crore for the March 2023 quarter. This is a 205 per cent jump from Rs 35.39 crore logged in the year-ago period, the company’s statement said. The company’s revenue from operations rose by 14.28 per cent YoY to Rs 2,790 crore.
Sobha: The realty developer on May 29, Tuesday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 48.6 crore, up 242 per cent against Rs 14.2 crore logged in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Revenue from operations stood at Rs 1209.9 crore, up 70.3 per cent against Rs 710.3 crore registered in the March 2022 quarter.

NHPC: The state-run hydropower company on Monday posted a standalone net profit of Rs 569.47 crore in the March quarter, up 1.7 per cent from Rs 560.09 crore in Q4 FY22. The revenue from operations in Q4 FY23 stood at Rs 1,971.21 crore, lower than Rs 2,007.48 crore registered in the year-ago quarter.
