Under the scheme, the government provides financial assistance to the daughters by depositing Rs 35,000 in their accounts. This amount can be spent as per the need after the daughter turns 18 years old.

Along with the central government, the state government also starts many schemes to provide facilities to the people of its state. Many of these schemes are run for women. One of these schemes is Ladli Yojana. Ladli Yojana was started by the Delhi government in the year 2008 for the daughters of Delhi. Benefits of Ladli Yojana

Under the Ladli Yojana, the Delhi government deposits money in the accounts of the daughters of Delhi. Under the scheme, the government provides financial assistance to the daughters by depositing Rs 35,000 in their accounts. This amount can be spent as per the need after the daughter turns 18 years old. The government deposits Rs 11,000 in the account when the daughter is born in the hospital, Rs 5,000 on taking admission in the first class, Rs 5,000 on coming to the sixth, ninth, tenth and 12th class. If a daughter is born at home, the government deposits Rs 10,000 in the account. In this case, by the time the daughter turns 18, Rs 35,000 comes into her account.

Who can avail the benefit of Ladli Yojana

The benefit of Ladli Yojana can be availed only by the daughter of the family whose annual income is less than Rs 1 lakh. Only 2 daughters from a family can get the benefit of this scheme. Apart from this, it is necessary for the daughter to study in the same school which is recognized by the Delhi Government. Along with this, it is also necessary to live in Delhi for three years to avail the benefit of the scheme.

How to apply for Ladli Yojana

To apply for the Ladli scheme, you will have to register at the nearest district office or women and child development department within one year of the birth of your daughter. You will not have to pay any fee to apply for the Ladli scheme.
