Uttarakhand Today’s Weather: The weather in Uttarakhand will remain mainly dry and cold on February 5th. Dense to moderate fog may be seen in the plains of the state during the morning and night. A fog warning has been issued for six districts, including Dehradun and Nainital. Meanwhile, the hilly districts are expected to remain partly cloudy with cold skies. Rain and snowfall are expected for three days after this.
The International Monetary Fund (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for dense to moderate fog in six districts of the state. According to the department, visibility could drop to 50 to 200 meters in the morning, potentially affecting road and rail traffic.

Fog will affect Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, the plains of Nainital, the lower reaches of Champawat, and the lower reaches of Pauri. Fog is expected to be more prevalent in these areas during the morning and night hours.
Temperature Conditions
Regarding temperature, the Meteorological Department predicts that temperatures across the state will not change significantly, but the cold will persist. Maximum temperatures in the plains are expected to be between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius, and minimum temperatures between 6 and 9 degrees Celsius. In the hilly districts, maximum temperatures are expected to be between 8 and 14 degrees Celsius, and minimum temperatures between 0 and 3 degrees Celsius. Temperatures in the higher elevations are also expected to drop below freezing.
Weather in the Hill Districts
Partly cloudy skies are expected in the high altitude areas of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, and Pithoragarh. Currently, heavy rain or snowfall is not expected in these areas, but the impact of a western disturbance could cause a change in the weather within the next 24 to 48 hours.

According to the Meteorological Department, a weather alert has been issued for Uttarakhand for February 6 and 9. The IMD has stated that due to the activation of the western disturbance, the weather in the hilly districts of the state may change. Light rain and snowfall are expected in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, and the higher altitude areas, while cloudy skies and cold are expected in the plains. During this period, temperatures may drop and conditions may increase in the mountains. Fog may persist in the morning and night in the plains, and caution is advised.
