According to the IMD, dangerous thunderstorms, with winds of 50 to 60 km per hour, will hit several states today. Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon is steadily increasing in speed. The monsoon has already advanced into many parts of the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, and conditions are favorable for its further advance over the next two to three days.

The Meteorological Department has stated that a Western Disturbance is currently active in and around Jammu. Additionally, a north-south trough has formed from South Bihar, through Jharkhand and Odisha, to northern coastal Andhra Pradesh. Severe heatwaves in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab
