IMD Weather Alert: Heavy rain with strong thunderstorms expected in 15 states for the next 20 hours

Weather News: The intense heat in North India is making people miserable these days, but the weather is about to change. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain and strong storms in 15 states within the next 20 hours.

Wind speeds could reach 70 kilometers per hour in many areas. States like Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar have been reeling under intense heat for the past several days. However, signs of a change in the weather are beginning to emerge. Light showers and heavy rains are expected in some areas. This is expected to bring temperatures down and provide relief from the heat.

Meanwhile, monsoon activity is also intensifying in South India. The monsoon did not reach Kerala by the scheduled date of May 26, but its progress has been recorded in parts of the southwest and southeast Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep, and the Bay of Bengal. The Meteorological Department says the monsoon may advance further in the next two to three days. According to meteorologists, favorable conditions developing in the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal may increase the scope of rainfall in many states. This will also impact the weather in North and Central India.

People suffering from intense sunlight and heat waves may find some relief in the coming days. Cloudy skies, thunderstorms, and strong winds are expected throughout the day in many areas. Weather changes are possible in some areas, so people are advised to remain vigilant.
