IMD Heavy Rain Alert: A big update regarding the weather is coming out. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of stormy winds and heavy rains in 20 states of the country. There is a possibility of strong winds blowing at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour in many areas. Weather patterns will change for the next few days

IMD Heavy Rain Alert: The weather pattern has completely changed across the country. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a major All India Weather Bulletin and warning for more than 20 states of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, on one hand the south-west monsoon is advancing rapidly. On the other hand, a double alert has been issued for severe thunderstorm, hailstorm and heavy rain with a speed of 80 kilometers per hour in large parts of the country.

The Meteorological Department has clarified that due to cyclonic winds and western disturbances, the weather will remain stormy in different parts of the country till June 5. Let us know what is the detailed forecast of the Meteorological Department for your state.

Today on May 30, 80kmph tornado and hail will wreak havoc in these states.

Today IMD has issued a warning of extremely strong winds and hailstorm in many states of the country. There is a possibility of thunderstorms with a speed of 60-70 km per hour at isolated places in Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, whose speed can reach up to 80 km/hour in gusts.

A storm alert with speed of 50 to 60 km/hr (gusts up to 70 km/hr) has been issued today in Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Gujarat region, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. Thunderstorm accompanied with hail may occur at isolated places in Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Vidarbha and Western Uttar Pradesh today.

Alert of heavy rain in these 7+ states including Bihar, UP on May 30

According to the bulletin of the Meteorological Department, there is a strong possibility of heavy rain at different places in the following parts of the country:-

North India: Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and western Uttar Pradesh.

Eastern and Central India: Bihar, Odisha and Western Madhya Pradesh.

South and coastal India: Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe, and Lakshadweep.

1. North-West India (UP, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan)

May 31 to June 1: Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh will receive light to moderate rain and winds at a speed of 40-50 km/hr between May 30 and June 1. The rainy season will continue in Rajasthan for the next 7 days. On May 31, a tornado with a speed of 80 km/hr may hit Rajasthan and hailstorm may occur in East Rajasthan. Winds of 50-60 km/hr will blow in western Rajasthan on June 1.

June 2 to June 5: There is an alert of rain and strong winds in Jammu and Kashmir on June 4 and 5. Winds will blow at a speed of 40-50 km/hr in East Rajasthan on June 4 and 5.

2. Eastern India (Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Bengal)

31 May to 1 June: Thunderstorms will continue in Bihar till 1 June, in Gangetic West Bengal till 31 May and in Jharkhand and Odisha from 30 May to 5 June. There is a possibility of storm with a speed of 50-60 km/hr in Odisha on 31 May and 1 June and in Jharkhand on 30-31 May. There is an alert of heavy rain in Odisha on 31 May and 1 June.

June 2 to June 5: Rainfall activities will increase over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim between June 2 and 5, with heavy rainfall likely on June 4 and 5. Continuous widespread rainfall and winds of 40-50 km/hr are expected over Andaman and Nicobar Islands till June 5.

3. Central and Western India (MP, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Gujarat)

May 31 to June 1: There is a possibility of hailstorm in Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha on May 31. Heavy rain may occur in Western Madhya Pradesh till June 1. Thundersquall conditions with speeds of 50-60 km/hr will persist in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha till June 1. There is an alert of hailstorm on May 31 and heavy rain between May 31 and June 2 in Gujarat region.

June 2 to June 5: Hail may occur in Central Maharashtra on June 2. Thunderstorm with winds of 40-50 km/hr will continue over Konkan and Goa, Central Maharashtra and Gujarat from June 4 to 5. Winds will blow at a speed of 50-60 km/hr in Western Madhya Pradesh on June 2 and 3 also.

4. Northeast and South India (Assam, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu)

Northeast India: Heavy rain is expected in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from May 30 to June 1 and again on June 4 and 5. Heavy rain has been warned in Assam and Meghalaya between June 1 and 5 and in Arunachal Pradesh between June 2 and 5.

South India: There is an alert of continuous heavy rain in Kerala and Mahe from 30 May to 5 June. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal may receive heavy rains from May 30 to June 3. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Lakshadweep from 30 May to 1 June and again on 4 and 5 June.

Temperature condition: At some places the temperature will rise, at other places there will be relief.

North-West and East India: There will be no major change in temperature after May 30 in North-West India, but a gradual increase of 6-8°C in temperature may be recorded between May 31 and June 5. In eastern India too, the mercury may rise by 2-3°C between May 31 and June 5.

Central India and Gujarat: Maximum temperatures will drop by 2-4°C in Central India by June 1. At the same time, the temperature in Gujarat may fall by 3-5°C by June 3, which will provide relief from the heat.

Heatwave Warning: Amidst this relief, heatwave situation will persist in different areas of Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Telangana today (May 30). The weather will be very hot and humid in the Konkan region on 30th and 31st May.
