Paying electricity and water bills through bank credit card will become expensive because some banks are imposing surcharge. Besides, keeping credit and debit cards will also be expensive because banks are going to increase their service charges from tomorrow i.e. from 1st May. Besides, the rules for airport lounge access available on credit cards of many banks are also going to change.

Lounge access available on credit card will change

Free domestic airport lounge access number on IDFC First Select Credit Card has been reduced from 4 to 2. Charges on First Wealth Credit Card have been reduced from 4 to 2. In 2 times you will get access to both domestic and international.

It has been said on the website of Yes Bank that the Minimum Average Balance (MAB) of different variants of savings accounts has been changed. The minimum average balance in Account Pro Max will be Rs 50,000. A limit of Rs 1,000 has been fixed for the maximum charge. The minimum balance in Savings Account Pro Plus, Yes Essence SA and YES Respect SA will now be Rs 25,000. The maximum limit of charge for this account has been fixed at Rs 750. Now the minimum balance in Saving Account PRO will be Rs 10,000. A maximum limit of Rs 750 has been fixed for charges. These rules will come into effect from May 1.

ICICI Bank service will become expensive

ICICI Bank has also made changes in many types of services and charges. The annual fee for debit card has been reduced to Rs 200. For rural areas it will be Rs 99 annually. There will be no charge for a check book with 25 leaves in a year. After that, Rs 4 will have to be paid for each leaf of the cheque. Charges will be levied on IMPS transaction amount. It will be between Rs 2.50 to Rs 15 per transaction. It depends on your amount.

Utility bill payment through IDFC First Bank credit card will be expensive

This decision of IDFC First Bank will have the biggest impact on your utility bill payments. This may affect telecommunication, electricity, gas, electricity, internet service, cable service, water bills etc. in which transactions take place in large amounts. However, this will not be applicable on cards like First Private Credit Card, LIC Classic Credit Card and LIC Select Credit Card. The free domestic lounge service for some credit cards has also been reduced.

Gas cylinder

Gas cylinder prices will be fixed on May 1, 2024. The prices of domestic and commercial gas cylinders are fixed on the first of every month.
