Heavy Rain Alert: There will be heavy rain for three days; Weather department issued alert

 


Goa, Gujarat and ghat areas of Maharashtra may receive heavy rains from 14 to 16 July. Strong winds with a speed of 40-50 km/hr are expected during this period. Kerala, Mahe, Karnataka and Lakshadweep will receive heavy rains from 14 to 19 July.

Heavy Rain Alert: Monsoon is active in different parts of the country, due to which heavy to very heavy rains are expected in the next few days. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon trough is at the western end south of its normal position. A low pressure area is likely to form in the next 24 hours in the northwest Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of West Bengal and Odisha. Due to these weather systems, heavy to very heavy rains will occur in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir in northwest India from July 14 to 18. Thunderstorms with heavy rains will continue in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar from July 14 to 19.


In western India, heavy rains may occur in the Ghat areas of Goa, Gujarat and Maharashtra from 14 to 16 July. During this period, strong winds are expected at a speed of 40-50 km / h. In South Peninsular India, Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep will receive heavy rains from 14 to 19 July. Also, a warning of strong winds has been issued. In Northeast India, states like Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur are likely to receive thunderstorms with light to moderate rains from 14 to 20 July. A warning of hot and humid weather has been issued in Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema from Monday to Tuesday.

IMD issued red alert in Delhi

Parts of the national capital got relief from the humid weather after rain on Sunday evening. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the next few hours as well as for Monday under the possibility of more rain. In its latest forecast, the Meteorological Department said that clouds are gathering from the southeast, due to which light to moderate rain with thunderstorms may occur in some parts of Delhi-NCR. According to the India Meteorological Department, a red alert means a signal to remain alert. The department has forecast cloudy weather and moderate rain throughout Delhi for Monday. During this time, the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 33 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius.

Light to heavy rain in some parts of Rajasthan

Light to heavy rain accompanied by thundershowers occurred in some parts of Rajasthan. The weather in the state will remain hot and humid today due to the effect of monsoon. The temperature may remain between 26°C to 34°C. Heavy to very heavy rain is expected in the southern and south-eastern regions. Especially in Kota, Udaipur, and Ajmer divisions. Western Rajasthan may also receive moderate to heavy rain. There is a warning of thunderstorm and lightning, so caution has to be taken. A spokesperson of the Meteorological Department said that in the last 24 hours till Sunday 8.30, the highest rainfall of 115 mm in the state was recorded in Manohar Thana. During this period, 90 mm rain was recorded in Salopat of Banswara, 80 mm in Jaswantpura of Jalore and 70 mm in Sapau of Dholpur. 10 to 60 mm of rain was recorded at various places across the state. The average humidity in the air was recorded between 65 to 100 percent in most parts of the state.
