New Delhi, Business Desk.  State Bank of India (SBI) is going to conduct mega auction of mortgaged commercial and residential properties on October 25. The country's largest bank will conduct mega auctions of commercial and residential properties of defaulters to recover dues. Under this, auction of plots, residential, industrial and commercial properties will be done by the bank.

SBI tweeted about this from its official Twitter handle and wrote, “Your next big investment opportunity is here! Join us during the e-auction and place your best bid Advertisement related to this auction will also be published in leading Hindi and English newspapers from respective branches of SBI. The advertisement will also contain a link to the website which will contain the details of the property to be auctioned.

The public notice will also inform the potential buyers of the freehold or leasehold of the property along with its size and location. An assistant officer will also be appointed to assist in the auction at SBI branches. It will also help the buyers with problems related to the auction process. The bank will also allow the buyer to inspect the properties of his interest.

SBI said, “We mortgage the immovable properties with the bank with all the details which are annexed to the court order for auction. We can create an attractive offer for the bidders to participate in the auction.”

The website lists the requirements for participating in the e-auction. The participants will have to deposit the pre-bid amount or earnest money deposit (EMD) for the particular property as mentioned in the e-auction notice. They will also have to submit the KYC documents at the respective branch. The bidders will have to approach the e-auctioneers or authorized agencies for digital signature which is mandatory for e-auction.
