Heavy Rain Alert: In a press release issued on June 23, the Indian Meteorological Department has given a big warning. A high alert has been issued for the entire seven days. Strong winds filled with dust are expected and heavy rains may also occur.

Be careful and take precautions as there is a possibility of strong winds of 40 to 50 kmph along with thunderstorms and lightning. The speed of dust-laden winds can reach up to 60 kmph (Weather Update Latest News).


Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir (Kashmir News), Ladakh, Punjab, Haryana from 25 to 27 June. Very heavy rain (IMD Rain Alert) is likely in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan till 29 June, in West Rajasthan on 24 and 25 June, in East Uttar Pradesh on 23, 24, 28 and 29 June and in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand during 27 June.

Very heavy rain is likely at isolated places over western Madhya Pradesh on 23 and 24 June. Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to continue at some places over Madhya Pradesh till 27 June. Heavy rain is expected at isolated places over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh till 27 June, over Vidarbha on 25 and 26 June, over West Bengal and Sikkim during 24 to 27 June.

Heavy rains are expected at isolated places in Kerala, Karnataka till June 27. Strong winds (IMD Weather Today) may blow at a speed of 40 to 60 kmph in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on 23, 27 and 28 June, Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Kerala and Mahe as well as Lakshadweep till June 27.
