Festival Special Train: Indian Railways will run special trains on these routes during festivals, see full schedule
Railways has taken a big decision for the passengers during the festive season. The operation of many special trains has been announced which will make long distance travel easier. The new schedule will provide great relief to the passengers and the trouble of travel will be reduced to a great extent
As the festival season approaches, the Railways has announced a big relief for the passengers. In view of the increasing crowd across the country, the Railways has decided to run many special trains. The running of these trains will ease long distance travel for the passengers and will give them additional options amid the huge demand for tickets. In the new schedule released by the Railways, the days and times of these trains have been fixed so that people can plan their journey in advance. Apart from this, during some special occasions and big events, the Railways has also decided to give additional halts for the convenience of the passengers. This step will not only make the journey smooth but will also control the crowd increasing during the festivals.
Special train between Lokmanya Tilak-Danapur
According to North Central Railway CPRO Shashikant Tripathi, train number 01017 Lokmanya Tilak-Danapur Special will run two days a week from 27 September to 1 December. This train will leave from Lokmanya Tilak Terminal at 12:15 pm on Monday and Saturday. After halting at different stations, it will reach Govindpuri the next day at 11:00 am. After halting for five minutes here, it will leave again at 11:05 am and reach Danapur at 10:45 pm.
Return train schedule
The reverse service of this train (01018) will be run on Monday and Wednesday from 29 September to 3 December. It will depart from Danapur at 12:30 pm and reach Govindpuri at 11:30 am the next day. After a halt of five minutes, this train will depart again at 11:35 am and reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminal at 12:00 noon the next day.
Train will also run between Lokmanya Tilak-Mau
For the convenience of passengers, the Railways has also decided to run Lokmanya Tilak-Mau Special (01123). This train will run from Lokmanya Tilak Terminal at 12:15 pm every Friday and Sunday from 26 September to 30 November. The arrival time at Govindpuri will be 1:50 pm the next day. The train will depart after five minutes and reach Mau at 5:35 am the next day.
Special halt for Nirankari Sant Samagam
In view of the 78th International Nirankari Sant Samagam to be held in Haryana, the Railways has decided to halt 26 pairs of trains at Bhodwal Majri station for the convenience of passengers. This arrangement will be in force from 6 October to 7 November.
