Heavy Rain Alert: Rain alerts have been issued in approximately 22 states across the country. The weather in the capital, Delhi, turned pleasant on the evening of March 19th. Rain and hailstorm alerts have also been issued in several districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Effect of Western Disturbance

The Meteorological Department predicts that conditions in North India will remain similar for the next two days. Dense clouds have darkened the morning in many areas. The Meteorological Department predicts light to moderate rain is expected in 22 states across North, East, and South India. Rain accompanied by strong winds is also possible in Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.

Rain alert in these states

The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for hilly states and plains. The Meteorological Department predicts rain in the capital Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand on March 20th. Snowfall is also expected in high-altitude areas of the hills.

Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. A hailstorm alert has been issued in several areas. The Meteorological Department says that rain is expected in eastern Uttar Pradesh until March 21st. Rain is also expected in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Odisha, and West Bengal until March 22nd. Along with the rain, there is also an alert for severe thunderstorms.

Heavy rain in the northeastern states

The Meteorological Department predicts heavy rain and thunderstorms in the northeastern states for the next five days. In addition, in the south, there is a rain and thunderstorm alert for the coastal areas of Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu.

Light rain brought pleasant weather to the capital, Delhi, on Thursday. The Meteorological Department has also issued a rain alert for Delhi on March 20th. Winds could also blow at speeds of up to 50 km per hour. Rainfall has also caused a drop in temperatures in Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department says that winds could blow at speeds of 40 to 50 km per hour in Uttar Pradesh on Friday and Saturday.
