New Toll Tax: Highway and expressway commuters will be in for a major shock as toll tax will increase from April 1.

 

Starting April 1st, highway and expressway travelers will experience a significant setback. Travel will become more expensive. The toll on the Jhansi-Kanpur Highway will now be higher. Travelers on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway will also face a significant setback.

Highway and Expressway Toll Tax: Travelling on highways and expressways will become more expensive from April 1. The toll on the Jhansi-Kanpur highway will now be higher. Travellers on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway will also find their pockets lighter. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has increased the expressway toll rates by Rs 5 to Rs 45. The new rates have come into effect from April 1. The NHAI has issued a notification regarding the new rates.

The drivers passing through Orai district are going to get a big shock slowly. From April 1, the drivers will have to pay more toll fee at the At-Aata toll plaza built on Jhansi-Kanpur highway. Toll managers say that preparations are being completed for the new rates. Travelling is going to be expensive for the vehicle owners passing through At-Aata toll plaza from April 1. Like every year, this time too the toll rates are being increased by NHAI. Automatic toll deduction from vehicles through Fastag will also start as per the new rates. Aata toll manager Suryansh Verma said that he has just received the written order but the notification regarding the rate hike has not come yet.

Travelers on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway are now facing an additional burden. The NHAI has increased the toll fee for all types of vehicles traveling on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. Four-wheel-drive vehicles will now have to pay ₹175 instead of ₹170 between Meerut and Delhi. The 24-hour round-trip toll will now be ₹265 instead of ₹255. Similarly, the toll fee for commercial vehicles has been increased from ₹10 to ₹45. Similarly, the toll fee between Meerut and Indirapuram, Dundahera, Dasna, Rasulpur, and Bhojpur has also been increased.

Private Vehicles (Cars/Jeeps): The toll from Meerut to Delhi has now increased from ₹170 to ₹175. The 24-hour round-trip fee has been increased from ₹255 to ₹265.

Light Commercial Vehicles: The toll fee for light commercial vehicles and minibuses has been increased from ₹275 to ₹285, and the 24-hour round-trip fee has been increased from ₹415 to ₹425.

Buses and Trucks (2 Axles): The toll fee for buses and trucks has been increased from ₹580 to ₹595, while for a 24-hour round-trip fee, the fee will be ₹890 instead of ₹870.

Other heavy commercial vehicles: The toll fee for other heavy commercial vehicles has been increased from Rs 630 to Rs 645, from Rs 905 to Rs 930 and from Rs 1105 to Rs 1130, while for travelling within 24 hours, the fee will be Rs 970, Rs 1395 and Rs 1700 respectively.
