Yellow alert has been issued for Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Assam, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh. At the same time, orange alert has been issued for Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, where heavy rain is expected.
Heat rises in Maharashtra
This time the heat has started showing its effect in Maharashtra in February itself. On Wednesday, Solapur city recorded a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius, which was the highest in the state. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), temperatures in many parts of Maharashtra were recorded above 35 degrees, which is unusual in this season.
Light to moderate rain and snowfall is expected in Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir, during the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Center, Srinagar said that the Union Territory is expected to remain cloudy from Wednesday evening and light to moderate rain and snowfall is expected at many places till Thursday evening and moderate to heavy rain and snowfall in isolated high altitude areas of Jammu division tomorrow.
How will the weather be in Rajasthan
In the last 24 hours, there was light rain at some places in Rajasthan and in the coming days, the minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to fall by three to four degrees. In-charge of Meteorological Centre, Radheshyam Sharma said that Western Disturbance is active in South-Western Rajasthan on Wednesday. He said that due to its effect, there is a strong possibility of light rain with thundershowers at some places in Bikaner, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions on Wednesday afternoon and sudden strong winds at the speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. He said that there is a possibility of rain with thundershowers at some places in Jaisalmer, Phalodi as well.
