Summer Special Trains: Good News! Railways announces 14 more summer special trains, see routes and time schedules

 

Indian Railways: For the convenience of passengers, Indian Railways has announced the operation of seven additional pairs of Summer Special trains. These include the Udhna–Samastipur, Udhna–Madhubani, Udhna–Malda Town, Gandhidham–Malda Town, Sabarmati–Asansol, and Sultanpur–Dankuni Special trains. Let’s take a look at the routes and time schedules for these Summer Special trains.

Summer Special Trains: To manage the rush during the summer holidays, Indian Railways is continuously announcing the operation of Summer Special trains. Hundreds of Summer Special trains are currently being run across various railway routes throughout the country. In line with this initiative, Indian Railways has now decided to operate an additional 7 pairs—that is, 14 more—Summer Special trains.

Saraswati Chandra, CPRO of East Central Railway, shared details regarding these 7 pairs (14 trains) of Summer Specials, stating that the objective is to ensure that rail passengers do not face any inconvenience while traveling during the summer holidays. Consequently, the Railways is continuously increasing the number of Summer Special trains being operated.

Let us take a look at the schedules and stoppages for these trains.

Train No. 09069/09070 Udhna–Samastipur–Udhna Unreserved Special

Train No. 09069 Udhna–Samastipur Unreserved Special, operating via the DDU–Patliputra–Hajipur–Muzaffarpur route, will depart from Udhna at 05:30 hrs on April 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, and 30, 2026. Making stops at various stations—including DDU at 08:10 hrs (the next day), Patliputra at 12:00 hrs, Hajipur at 13:25 hrs, and Muzaffarpur at 14:40 hrs—it will reach Samastipur at 16:00 hrs.

Conversely, on its return journey, Train No. 09070 Samastipur–Udhna Special will depart from Samastipur at 19:00 hrs on April 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, and May 1, 2026. Making stops at various stations—including Muzaffarpur at 20:30 hrs, Hajipur at 21:35 hrs, Patliputra at 23:15 hrs, and DDU at 04:45 hrs (the next day)—it will reach Udhna at 04:45 hrs on the third day.

Train No. 09167/09168 Udhna–Madhubani–Udhna Unreserved Special

Train No. 09167 Udhna–Madhubani Unreserved Special, operating via DDU–Patna–Mokama–Barauni–Samastipur–Darbhanga, will depart from Udhna at 05:30 hrs on 26.04.2026 (Sunday). It will arrive at Madhubani at 19:00 hrs, making stops at various stations along the way—including DDU at 08:10 hrs (Monday), Patna at 12:00 hrs, Barauni at 14:25 hrs, Samastipur at 15:50 hrs, and Darbhanga at 17:15 hrs.

On its return journey, Train No. 09168 Madhubani–Udhna Special will depart from Madhubani at 22:00 hrs on 27.04.2026 (Monday). It will arrive at Udhna at 11:35 hrs on Wednesday, making stops at various stations—including Darbhanga at 23:20 hrs, Samastipur at 01:00 hrs (Tuesday), Barauni at 02:40 hrs, Patna at 05:00 hrs, and DDU at 09:30 hrs.

Train No. 09063/09064 Udhna – Malda Town – Udhna Special

Operating via the DDU–Patna–Kiul–Bhagalpur route, Train No. 09063 Udhna – Malda Town Special will depart from Udhna on 27.04.2026 (Monday) at 20:15 hrs. It will arrive at Malda Town at 11:30 hrs, making stops at various stations—including DDU at 00:35 hrs (Wednesday), Patna at 03:40 hrs, Kiul at 05:50 hrs, and Bhagalpur at 08:10 hrs—along the way.

On its return journey, Train No. 09064 Malda Town – Udhna Special will depart from Malda Town on 29.04.2026 (Wednesday) at 17:35 hrs. It will arrive at Udhna on Friday at 10:00 hrs, halting at various stations—including Patna at 03:45 hrs (Thursday) and DDU at 08:00 hrs—en route.

Train No. 09013/09014 Udhna–Malda Town–Udhna Special

Train No. 09013 Udhna–Malda Town Special, operating via the DDU–Patna–Kiul–Bhagalpur route, will depart from Udhna on 28.04.2026 (Tuesday) at 14:30 hrs. It will arrive at Malda Town on Thursday at 05:10 hrs, making stops at various stations along the way—including DDU at 16:30 hrs (Wednesday), Patna at 19:45 hrs, Kiul at 21:40 hrs, and Bhagalpur at 00:05 hrs (Thursday).

On its return journey, Train No. 09014 Malda Town–Udhna Special will depart from Malda Town on 30.04.2026 (Thursday) at 08:10 hrs. It will arrive at Udhna on Friday at 23:45 hrs, making stops at various stations along the way—including Patna at 17:00 hrs and DDU at 21:10 hrs.

Train No. 09463/09464 Gandhidham – Malda Town – Gandhidham Special

Operating via the DDU–Patna–Kiul–Bhagalpur route, Train No. 09463 Gandhidham–Malda Town Special will depart from Gandhidham on 25.04.2026 (Saturday) at 12:30 hrs. It will arrive at Malda Town at 09:10 hrs, making stops at various stations along the way—including DDU at 19:35 hrs on Sunday, Patna at 23:45 hrs, Kiul at 01:35 hrs on Monday, and Bhagalpur at 03:30 hrs.

On its return journey, Train No. 09464 Malda Town–Gandhidham Special will depart from Malda Town on 27.04.2026 (Monday) at 17:35 hrs. It will arrive at Gandhidham on Wednesday at 15:30 hrs, halting at various stations en route—including Patna at 04:05 hrs on Tuesday and DDU at 08:30 hrs.

Train No. 09435/09436 Sabarmati–Asansol–Sabarmati Special

Operating via the DDU–Gaya–Koderma–Dhanbad route, Train No. 09435 Sabarmati–Asansol Special will depart from Sabarmati on 29.04.2026 (Wednesday) at 22:55 hrs. It will arrive at Asansol at 14:30 hrs on Friday, making stops at various stations along the way—including DDU at 03:50 hrs, Gaya at 07:30 hrs, Koderma at 09:00 hrs, and Dhanbad at 11:15 hrs.

On its return journey, Train No. 09436 Asansol–Sabarmati Special will depart from Asansol on 01.05.2026 (Friday) at 16:15 hrs. It will arrive at Sabarmati at 07:15 hrs on Sunday, making stops at various stations—including Dhanbad at 17:50 hrs, Koderma at 19:30 hrs, Gaya at 21:30 hrs, and DDU at 01:10 hrs on Saturday.

Train No. 04250/04249 Sultanpur–Dankuni–Sultanpur Special

Operating via the DDU–Gaya–Koderma–Dhanbad–Asansol route, Train No. 04250 Sultanpur–Dankuni Special will depart from Sultanpur on 24.04.2026 (Friday) at 04:45 hrs. Making stops at various stations—including DDU at 10:20 hrs, Gaya at 13:40 hrs, Koderma at 15:03 hrs, and Dhanbad at 17:20 hrs—it will reach Dankuni at 22:00 hrs on the same day.

On its return journey, Train No. 04249 Dankuni–Sultanpur Special will depart from Dankuni on 25.04.2026 (Saturday) at 00:30 hrs. Making stops at various stations—including Dhanbad at 05:35 hrs, Koderma at 07:46 hrs, Gaya at 09:20 hrs, and DDU at 13:00 hrs—it will reach Sultanpur at 16:30 hrs on the same day.
