Weather Update: Weather patterns change in April, IMD issues alert for strong winds, rain and hailstorm

Weather Update: The weather is changing rapidly in early April. Strong winds, rain, and thunderstorms are being observed in many states. Western disturbances have caused temperatures to drop. While this will provide relief from the heat, it also poses an increased risk of crop damage, lightning strikes, and strong winds.

Weather Update: With the beginning of April, the weather has begun to change. While the heat is increasing, sudden bursts of strong winds, rain, and thunderstorms are surprising people. Many cities experience bright sunshine during the day, but the weather deteriorates by evening. The weather is constantly changing in cities like Delhi, Patna, Lucknow, Jaipur, Bhopal, and Raipur.

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), this change could intensify in the coming days. Wind speeds could reach 70 kilometers per hour, significantly higher than normal. This impact will be felt not only in cities but also in villages and farmlands. While this change will provide relief from the heat, it may also increase certain risks, such as crop damage, lightning strikes, and falling trees or power poles.

What will the weather be like in various places today?

The IMD has reported that a Western Disturbance has become active, affecting many parts of North, Central, and Eastern India. Hailstorms are also possible in some areas. Temperatures may drop slightly, but strong winds and the risk of lightning will persist. This could pose a significant problem, especially for people working outdoors and travelers.

Over the past 24 hours, a marked change in weather has been evident in various parts of the country. Heavy rains have occurred in the northeastern states, raising the possibility of waterlogging and rising river levels. Hailstorms have occurred in several areas of North India, raising concerns for farmers. Rain and thunderstorms have also been observed in South India.

Meteorologists say this system will be most active between April 2 and 5. The weather is expected to be particularly bad on April 3 and 4. During this time, strong winds, rain, and lightning strikes are expected to increase, so people are advised to remain vigilant.
