Bank Holiday: Banks will remain closed on 26, 27 and 28 June, finish important work before that.
If you have to go to the bank branch and do any important work, then complete it by June 25, especially depositing a cheque, making a demand draft, withdrawing cash or any document related work, it would be better to complete it on time.
Bank Holiday: If you have to go to the bank branch to deposit money, clear a cheque, make a draft or for any other important work, then this news is useful for you. This weekend, banks may remain closed for three consecutive days in many states. In such a situation, customers should complete their important banking work in advance.
Banks will remain open from June 22nd to 25th: Public and private banks across the country will remain open as usual from June 22nd to June 25th (Thursday). Banking services will operate as usual on these days.
Holidays starting June 26th
According to the RBI holiday calendar, banks will be closed in many states and cities on June 26th (Friday) on account of Muharram. However, this holiday will not be applicable nationwide. Therefore, customers should check the bank holiday list for their city.
June 27 (Saturday) is the fourth Saturday of the month. Due to this, all government and private banks across the country will remain closed. After this, there will be a weekly holiday on 28th June (Sunday). In such a situation, in states where there is Muharram holiday on June 26, bank branches may remain closed for three consecutive days.
When and Where Banks Are Holiday in July
In July, banks will be closed for six days due to festivals in various locations. Furthermore, there will be no work on the second and fourth Saturdays across the country. Banks will be closed on all Sundays.
According to the RBI holiday calendar, banks in Aizawl will be closed on July 6th for MHIP Day. Shillong is also closed on July 9th. Banks in Bhubaneswar, Dehradun, and Imphal will be closed on July 16th for local festivals such as Rath Yatra, Kang, and Harela. Banks will then remain closed in Shillong on July 17th. Banks in Agartala will then be closed on July 22nd due to Kharchi Puja. Other than the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays in July, there are no other holidays that require banks to be closed on the same day across the country.
Online services will remain operational.
Despite bank branches being closed, customers need not panic. Net banking, mobile banking, UPI, and ATM services will remain available as usual. Money can be sent and received through Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, and other UPI apps. Cash withdrawals and deposits will also continue at ATMs.
