IMD Heavy Rain Alert: These 26 states are at risk of thunderstorms and rain! Weather forecast for Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar

 

IMD Heavy Rain Alert: According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, many colors of weather will be seen in different parts of the country till June 23. On one hand, due to the activity of monsoon and new western disturbance, there is an alert of storm and heavy rain in 26 states of the country including Delhi, UP, Bihar and Rajasthan.

IMD Heavy Rain Alert: Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a huge All India Bulletin regarding the weather of the country. According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, till June 23, many colors of weather will be seen in different parts of the country. On one hand, due to the activity of monsoon and new western disturbance, there is an alert of storm and heavy rain in 26 states of the country including Delhi, UP, Bihar and Rajasthan. On the other hand, heat wave will also continue in some plain areas.

Delhi and Punjab-Haryana: Weather will change from June 18, it will be cloudy

There is a possibility of scattered to widespread rain with thunderstorms in Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab between June 17 and 22. According to the Meteorological Department, during June 18 to 22, stormy winds will blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour in all these states and there will be thunderstorms accompanied by lightning.

Dual weather conditions will be seen in Uttar Pradesh, heat wave alert amid storm and rain

People of Uttar Pradesh will have to spend the next few days very carefully because two different types of weather will be seen here. There is a possibility of rain in western Uttar Pradesh from June 17 to 19 and again on June 23. Eastern Uttar Pradesh may receive thundershowers on June 17-19 and June 22-23.

There is also an alert of dusty winds blowing at a speed of 50 km/hour in western UP. Amidst this storm and rain, the heat wave will also continue. There has been a warning of continuous heat wave in Eastern Uttar Pradesh from 17th to 22nd June and in Western Uttar Pradesh from 19th to 22nd June. There will be a pocket alert of heat wave in entire UP on June 22.

Bihar-Jharkhand: Torrential rain and 70 Kmph thunderstorm

Conditions are completely favorable for the advance of monsoon in Bihar and Jharkhand. Due to this, pre-monsoon and monsoon activities will be at their peak here. There is an alert of continuous heavy rain in Bihar from 17 to 20 June. Apart from this, there is a possibility of a destructive tornado with a speed of 50 to 60 km/hour in Bihar on June 18 and 19. Heat wave conditions will also be seen in some limited pockets on June 17-18. Thundersquall will hit Jharkhand between June 19 and 21 with a speed of 50-60 km/hr. There is an alert of rain with lightning and thunderstorm on June 17-18 and again on June 22-23.

80 km/hour super storm and hailstorm in Rajasthan

The next 24 to 48 hours may prove to be very dangerous in Rajasthan. Destructive storm winds will blow at a speed of 60-70 kilometers per hour in Western Rajasthan on June 18 and Eastern Rajasthan on June 18-19, whose maximum speed can reach 80 kilometers per hour. There is an alert of storm of 50-60 km/hour in western Rajasthan on June 19 also. There has been a warning of severe dust storm in the areas of Western Rajasthan from 17 to 19 June.

Detailed forecast till June 23 for other states of the country

According to IMD’s bulletin, the weather in other parts of the country till June 23 will be like this:-

Hilly States: Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh will receive widespread rainfall between June 17 and 22. There is a possibility of heavy thunderstorms and hailstorm here on June 18-19. Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will see continuous rain and gales of up to 50 km/hr from June 17 to 23. There is a hailstorm alert in Himachal from 17 to 19 June and in Uttarakhand from 19 June.

East and Northeast India: A red alert has been issued for extremely heavy to very heavy rainfall in Assam and Meghalaya from June 17 to 23. Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura: There is a warning of continuous heavy rain and lightning from June 17 to 23 in all these states.

Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim will receive extremely heavy rainfall from June 17 to 22. Whereas there is an alert of heavy rain on June 23. Gangetic West Bengal will receive widespread rainfall between June 20 and 23. There is an alert of heavy rain in Odisha on June 19 and 20. Thunderstorm with speed of 50-60 km/hr will occur on June 17-18 and heat wave conditions will also prevail during this period.

Central and West India: East and West Madhya Pradesh will receive rain with gusty winds of up to 50 km/h from June 17 to 19. Heat wave will continue in both the parts from 17th to 21st June. There will be continuous thunderstorms and rains here from June 17 to 23, but heat wave conditions will also be recorded in Chhattisgarh on June 17 and Vidarbha from June 17-20. There will be rain in Konkan and Goa, Central Maharashtra and Marathwada from June 17 to 23. Scattered rain is expected in Gujarat region on June 17-18 and in Saurashtra and Kutch on June 17.

South India: There is an alert of extremely heavy rain in Kerala and Mahe on June 17. After this, heavy rains will continue between June 18 and June 21 to 23. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are expected to receive continuous heavy rains and winds with speeds of up to 50 km/hr from June 17 to 21. Thunderstorm activities will continue over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Karnataka and Telangana from June 17 to 23. There is also a possibility of heat wave in Telangana between June 17 and 19.
